How To: Create A MicIndustry Profile

Congratulations on joining the MicControl community as an Industry professional. With organization at the forefront, MicControl allows you to leverage your brand and network with the community better than ever before. However, you will only start to see strong results, brand recognition and ROI if you have a constantly up to date profile. The following are a few easy steps to get you on your way:

1. Sign in to your profile and click the 'Edit Profile' tab:


2. Ensure that all of your information is up to date, including the links to your pages around the internet:


3. Its time to create a biography, here you can input text, html, links, images and even flash, to make sure that all current and even potential clients will find all of the information you may have for them.

4. When you are done with all of your profile updates, click on the 'terms and agreements' checkbox and then click save.


5. Now you want to make sure you have an updated profile picture. 


Click 'Browse...' and choose an image to upload


6. As a MicIndustry member, you should be doing everything in your power to create value for your clients/ potential clients. If you are involved with actual music, whether it is teaching, producing, recording, etc. it would be very beneficial for you to display your products/ services. You profile gives you the opportunity to showcase your products/ services using pictures, audio and video.

7. MicEvents allow you to promote events of any kind, whether it is a new store opening, an album release, a signed band's upcoming show/ tour or even a recently released music video.

8. Finally, and one of the most important aspects of MicControl is your blog. Blogging allows you to create a direct channel with your customers, clients and fans, however must be done properly in order to be successful.

Your profile is complete, now it is time to go out and network! Just remember, update your profile (and your blog!) often, as a stale profile will turn away even the most dedicated clients and fans.
